Common FAQs
From Enrolment to Daily Routines: We've Got You Covered
What are the operating hours of the centre?
Our centres operate for 12 hours each day, typically from 6:00 am or 6:15 am to 6:00 pm or 6:15 pm. Operating hours may vary slightly between centres. For specific details, please contact your centre directly.
How do I enrol my child in the centre?
Enrolling your child is a simple process. You can start by completing an enquiry form online or contacting the centre directly to arrange a tour and meet our team. Each centre may have a slightly different enrolment procedure, so please reach out for specific details.
What should my child bring on their first day?
We recommend bringing a change of clothes, a sun hat, and any comfort items your child may need. Some centres may also request specific items such as bedding or nappies. Your centre will provide a detailed checklist during enrolment.
How are meals and snacks handled?
Our centres provide three nutritious meals a day through Kids Gourmet Foods, catering to different dietary needs. If your child has specific allergies or dietary restrictions, please inform your centre’s director to ensure we accommodate their needs. Menus may vary, so ask your centre for a sample menu.
What qualifications do the educators have?
All our educators hold relevant early childhood qualifications, including certificates and diplomas. In addition, they hold current Blue Cards, First Aid, and CPR certifications. Our team is passionate about fostering a nurturing environment for children. Staff qualifications and training may differ slightly by centre, but we maintain high standards across all locations.
What curriculum do you follow?
We follow the nationally approved learning framework, Belonging, Being and Becoming: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF). This framework promotes social, emotional, and intellectual development through play-based learning. The specific curriculum may vary slightly between centres to best meet the needs of the community, so contact your centre for more details on their educational approach.
How does the centre communicate with parents?
We believe in maintaining open communication with parents. Our centres use a combination of face-to-face conversations, newsletters, and Storypark, a secure platform, to keep you updated on your child’s progress and centre activities. The communication methods may vary between centres, so check with your centre on how they keep parents informed.
What is your policy for sick children?
For the safety of all children, we request that any child who is unwell stays at home until fully recovered. We follow the Australian Government Guidelines Staying Healthy to help prevent or minimise exposure to infectious diseases. Our policies are based on these guidelines. Each centre has specific guidelines regarding illnesses and the return to care. Please refer to your centre’s illness policy for more details.
How does the centre handle allergies and dietary restrictions?
We take allergies and dietary restrictions seriously. Please inform us during enrolment of any allergies your child has, and we will work with you to ensure their safety. Procedures for managing allergies may vary slightly between centres, so please contact your centre for specific details.
What safety measures are in place?
The safety and security of the children in our care is our top priority. All centres are equipped with secure entry systems, CCTV for extra security, and our staff are trained in first aid and emergency procedures. For specific safety measures in place at your centre, please speak with the centre director.
